8U Academy
Age group: 8U - 2017 birth year
The Technical Development Program training curriculum is designed to maximize individual skill development at the U8 level, focusing on all aspects of movement, technique and execution. These objectives will be achieved by adopting a true "academy" format where all players train together and are then "scrambled" (according to ability) in game play each week (this format is the recommended format by US Youth Soccer at this age). While most games will be played among Chatham TDP players, we will also be providing opportunities for our players to compete in small-sided games with another town soccer club in the fall and spring seasons.
7U Academy
Age group: 7U- 2018 birth year
Players are taught fundamental soccer skills and then put into small sided games to encourage as many touches on the ball as possible. Coaches will follow a curriculum so players are learning new skills each week within small sided games. Our academy style training is player centered and coaches will guide players but allow ample opportunity to experiment, try things, and learn to make their own decisions in the games.
**Note: Players must also register in the rec program in order to enroll in the Academy program.
6U Academy
Age group: 6U - 2019 birth year
Description of Program:

Coaches will follow a skill and technical curriculum so players are learning new skills each week within small sided games. Our academy style training is player centered and coaches will guide players but allow ample opportunity to experiment, try things, and learn to make their own decisions in the games.
**Notes: Players going into Kindergarten in the Fall must also register for the kindergarten rec program to enroll in the Academy program.
Junior Academy
Age group: Preschool 3-5 year olds
10/1/19- 9/30/21
8 week clinic for our youngest players in town to learn the fundamentals of soccer and be exposed to the technical aspects of the game. With local legends Prek kickers running the program your player will get experienced trainers and play with their friends on Shunpike turf.
***Notes: Players in kindergarten should register for 6U academy and rec program.
